The Nairobi City Council Offices Public Water Fountain Project, led by ITF volunteer Jarrett, aims to provide clean drinking water to 300-800 daily visitors, employees, and residents. This initiative addresses the need for a reliable water source in a busy urban area and helps reduce single-use plastic waste.

Kimathi Street Fountain Project
Led by ITF Kavya, this project combats water scarcity and plastic pollution Nairobi's city center. Kavya aims to install Join the Pipe water taps at key locations, starting with Kimathi Street, to provide free clean water. In collaboration with Nairobi City, ITF has installed two stations serving around 900 people daily, with plans for further expansion. initiative ensures safe drinking water access and distributes at least 200 reusable water bottles, supporting ITF's water sustainability goals.

Nairobi General Post Office Bus Stop Drinking Water Station
ITF volunteer Thang is spearheading a project to provide clean, free tap water to at least 500 people daily, along with 1,000 reusable BPA-free water bottles. This initiative also offers a unique cross-cultural experience for two American youths in Kenya. It promotes sustainability through refillable bottles, an auto-stop tap, and vandal resistance. A fountain at the General Post Office Bus Stop Station will serve the thousands of daily commuters.

A Water Kiosk at Sokoni Primary School in Kenya
Erika Pietrzak, an undergraduate at Duke University, is launching the A Water Kiosk at School project for Sokoni Primary School in Nyegna, Kenya, to improve community to water. Established in 1985, the school currently students to walk 7 kilometers for water, hindering their education. The kiosk will benefit 250-300 households and provide students with entrepreneurial skills by managing the sale of clean water, generating income for the school.
